Special thank you to all the backers who jumped in to support the Highland Cow Luster Metallic Print campaign. This is a consolation listing for the failed Kickstarter, specifically for my die hard supporters. As a token of my appreciation I have streamlined this listing for the basic options that people reached out to me the most about. I am including free matting for all the prints and free frame for the stretched canvas.

Very Important: I will be doing a one time order through my printer at the end on June 30th 2026. The print number will be determined by the number of orders. There will be no additional orders after this print run as this is not a standard print product I carry, but a premium option I wanted to share.

The Story

April Lionheart creates emotionally grounding artwork for people who are exhausted by modern life and want beauty, softness, symbolism, and peace in their homes.

The color palette is inspired by migraine and photophobic (light sensitivity) therapy and is designed to enrich the displaying environment with a warm comforting atmosphere.

Metallic Prints

Metallic paper has a patented combination of film and laminate layers, creating a captivating metallic sheen. Its distinctive pearlescent surface, exceptionally bright backgrounds, and smooth photo finish ensure that your favorite works of art endure for generations. When displayed in a home setting, it boasts a standard archival value of 100 years, while in dark storage, it can maintain its quality for up to 200 years.

Lustre Coating

This water-based coating adds a rich sheen to the prints and provides added protection against harmful UV exposure, fading, and fingerprints.

Museum-Quality Printing

Each art print is produced in the Midwest by the artist’s preferred family-owned printing company, proudly operating since 2003. Every print is individually color-checked and carefully packaged by skilled team members to ensure exceptional quality and presentation. Printed on professional archival photo paper regarded as the gold standard for color accuracy, processing performance, and image stability, these prints are certified with archival values rated for 100+ years under proper display conditions.

Because the metallic luster prints don’t show the subtle characteristics well in a photograph. Video has these Artist Proofs as samples in both indoor and outdoor lighting. This is the first time Lionheart’s work has ever been offered in this type of print before and these are absolutely stunning.

Exclusive Hand-Finished Stretched Canvas Print

The hand finished stretched canvas print within the top tier, are a new limited edition offering for those who want to have a piece as close to the original painting as possible. Each piece has hand painted highlighted details by the artist along with one of the artist’s original floating frame.

Each Hand-Finished Stretched Canvas Print is produced using certified archival-quality poly-cotton blend canvas, professionally printed and wrapped around a durable 1.5” wood stretcher frame. Considered among the highest-quality materials available in the fine art printing industry, the canvas contains no optical brighteners or synthetic fibers and is rated for a 100+ year display life under proper conditions. Every canvas is individually color-checked, printed, wrapped, assembled, and packaged by skilled professionals to ensure exceptional presentation and quality. The artwork is printed directly onto a fine art canvas with a subtle woven texture and finished with a smooth matte surface that minimizes glare and reflections. Each piece also includes durable wire hanging hardware attached directly to the back for immediate display.

To complete the presentation, every canvas is artisan-framed by the artist and her mother using American-made 1-1/4” Charred Wood Pine floating frames with a distressed UV finish, creating a handcrafted gallery-quality collector piece. The piece is then hand-finished by the artist by hand painting details back onto the stretched canvas print using the same quick drying oil paints that were used in the original.
